Why can't I post a photo from my camera roll?

That's the whole idea of Dog Maps: every dog on the map was seen in person, right where the pin is. Photos have to be taken in the app and posted within a few minutes.

It says it couldn't spot a dog, but there's definitely a dog

The check works best when the dog fills a good part of the frame and isn't too dark or blurry. Get a little closer and try again. If it keeps happening, email us the details.

It says it needs a more precise location

Make sure Location is set to "While Using the App" with Precise Location on (iPhone Settings, Dog Maps, Location). Indoors or between tall buildings the fix can be rough; stepping outside for a moment usually helps.

Who can see my dogs?

If your account is public, anyone. If it's private, only followers you approve. You can switch in the app under Edit profile. Going private keeps your current followers; going public approves anyone who has asked.

How do I report something or block someone?

Tap the "..." menu on any dog or profile and choose Report or Block. We review every report within 24 hours.

I forgot my password

On the sign in screen, tap "Forgot password?" and we'll email you a link to choose a new one.

How do I delete a dog I posted?

Open the dog, tap the "..." menu and choose Delete. The photo is deleted for good.
